To become the world’s No. 1 apparel company, we are accelerating the domestic and international expansion of our brands, including UNIQLO and GU. The growth and expansion of these brands, along with our corporate initiatives and social contributions, have attracted significant public attention, and media inquiries have been increasing year by year. While we are committed to responding sincerely to all inquiries, we are also required to accurately and effectively communicate the FR Group’s values and vision to enhance our brand image. We are seeking professional colleagues to join us in strengthening our public relations capabilities to meet this rapidly growing demand.
■ Department Overview
As the "face of the FR Group," the Corporate Communications Department handles all corporate communications functions, including external communications such as executive media interviews, financial results, recruitment, sustainability, sports projects, and store-related PR; internal communications to enhance employee engagement; and crisis management. The department consists of just over 10 members, including the department head and team leaders.
Daily communication is conducted in both Japanese and English.
■Job Description
You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, primarily focusing on disseminating information to domestic and global media, as well as internal communications acting as the Global Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as GHQ). Specifically, your responsibilities will include the following:
1.) External Public Relations
・Planning and executing PR strategies
・Drafting and distributing press releases (including Q&As)
・Handling inquiries from various media outlets and monitoring media coverage
・Providing corporate communications support to PR teams for UNIQLO and other brands in countries and regions around the world
・Building positive relationships with the media
2.) Internal Communications at GHQ
・Global expansion of internal communications, editing of the internal portal site, and reporting duties (including article writing)
・Management of external partner companies
*The Job Description may change within the scope of duties related to various headquarters departments due to department transfers or organizational changes.
After joining the company, as a Communications Specialist, you will actively disseminate information to either domestic or global media—depending on your experience and capabilities—to generate high-quality coverage and help turn more people into fans of our company. This role involves working collaboratively with your team and other relevant stakeholders.
