Job Description
■Recruitment Background
The Fast Retailing Group is driving company-wide transformation to create a "new industry" centered on the "LifeWear" concept, transcending the traditional boundaries of the apparel industry.
To promote UNIQLO's brands and products born from the "LifeWear" philosophy, you will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies from scratch, both nationwide and within specific regional markets. We are broadly seeking individuals who can lead the creation of compelling communication strategies and store environments for customers, collaborating across departments beyond just marketing.
■Department Overview
The Marketing Department's mission is to accurately convey the "value" of our brands and products to customers. We are strengthening our functions to deepen this understanding and further shift the focus of product development towards a market-in approach.
The Global Marketing Department, serving as the global headquarters, primarily focuses on providing appropriate direction based on the mid-to-long-term strategies of each country. The Japan Marketing Department plans communication strategies for the domestic market and executes them in collaboration with other specialized teams within the Marketing Department, stores, and related departments.
■Job Description
As the command center of the Japan Marketing Department, you will analyze customer needs, identify future business opportunities, and implement strategic planning. You will build annual plans considering not only UNIQLO's unique events like Thanksgiving, but also seasonal events, holidays, and product launches throughout the year. You will be responsible for communicating the value we provide, encompassing products, services, new store openings, and various corporate activities contributing to the peace and stability of local communities.
・Develop and execute communication strategies based on the above.
・Implement daily initiatives that contribute to business performance.
・Collaborate with internal and external creators to produce communication strategies and creative assets across a wide range of media channels, including TV commercials, digital promotions, radio, newspaper ads, transit ads, in-store promotional materials, and events.
*The Job Description may change within the scope of duties related to each department at headquarters due to department transfers or organizational changes.
■Career Path
・You will start by handling marketing communications as a domestic product marketing manager, clearly conveying the value of brands and products to customers by category. You will then broaden your experience through various projects in collaboration with related departments.
・As UNIQLO Japan also functions as the global headquarters, continuous improvement of language skills is expected. Based on this foundation, the following possibilities exist:
- Taking on management roles within the Japan Marketing organization (promotion to Leader or Department Manager)
- Rotation to global marketing or creative roles (leveraging your Japan-focused experience to broaden your expertise globally)
- Overseas assignments as a marketing manager in various countries (with prior assignment experience)
You can directly contribute to UNIQLO's branding and sales through branding and promotion efforts for products, services, annual events, new store openings, and corporate activities. Breaking away from conventional methods and embracing new challenges is encouraged.
