Job Description

Background of Recruitment
Fast Retailing Group is transforming itself to create a "new industry" based on the concept of "LifeWear" that goes beyond the boundaries of conventional industries. As the second largest brand after Fast Retailing Group's UNIQLO, GU is operated with the goal of providing products that meet global mass trends, with reliable quality and low prices, so that people everywhere can enjoy fashion in a casual and free manner. In September 2023, we established a new product headquarters in New York, which will play a key role in product creation, and in September 2024, we opened our first overseas flagship store and online store in New York to accelerate our globalization efforts. Under the theme of "GO GLOBAL," GU is aiming to become a full-fledged global fashion brand, and is looking for a leader who can further strengthen its fashion appeal and promote the realization of global standard PR.

■Department Overview
The mission of the PR team in the Marketing Department, to which you will be assigned, is to communicate GU's values in all aspects including products, human resources, stores, and social contribution to customers around the world through media and stakeholders under the brand message "YOUR FREEDOM," and to build a reputation as a global fashion brand with momentum. The PR team consists of corporate PR, fashion PR, and fashion PR.
The PR team has two roles: Corporate PR and Fashion PR. The team is responsible for PR for stores, people, and corporate activities, as well as for planning and executing PR and communications to raise awareness and increase sales for each project, such as seasonal products and collaboration projects. The new candidate will be in charge of fashion PR.

Job Description
Planning and execution of events for domestic and international media such as exhibitions and strategy presentations
Obtain media exposure by sending out PR releases and newsletters
Propose plans to gain exposure in TV, newspapers, publishers, and the web media.
Build relationships with media and stakeholders
Planning and execution of global PR strategies in collaboration with GU's PR staff in overseas countries and regions
Crisis management on a global basis
Visualize the effects of PR activities and provide accurate feedback of media opinions and findings to the company.

Qualifications

■Required experience, skills, and abilities: Experience in any of the following
Experience in PR and marketing for fashion brands, cosmetics, consumer goods, etc.
Experience in PR projects for apparel products at a PR agency
Experience in editorial, marketing or advertising in fashion-related media

■Welcome experience, skills and abilities
TOEIC score of 700 or above or equivalent English skills (for use in internal and external meetings and emails)
Strong knowledge of art, culture, and trends, not limited to fashion

Annual salary
Annual salary range: 7.84 to 12.96 million yen (monthly salary: 490,000 to 720,000 yen)
Commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (*All in accordance with our company's regulations)
Bonuses: Semiannual bonus twice a year, year-end bonus (whether or not to be paid and the amount will be decided according to the company's performance and personnel evaluation)
Promotion: Twice a year (determined according to personnel evaluation)
