Job Description

■Recruitment Background
The Fast Retailing (hereinafter “FR”) Group is undergoing company-wide transformation to create a “new industry” based on the “LifeWear” concept, which transcends traditional industry boundaries. We are seeking an HR Business Partner for the headquarters of GU—our second-largest brand after UNIQLO—who can vigorously drive this transformation by focusing on “organization and people.”

■Job Overview
GU, which has grown at twice the speed of UNIQLO, aims to become a global company with 1 trillion yen in sales. The headquarters is expected to rapidly and strongly drive business growth on a global scale, and the HR Business Partner plays a crucial role in supporting and advancing GU’s management and operations from an HR and organizational perspective.
The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple departments and will work closely with each department’s management team to strengthen the organization and develop talent in order to realize departmental strategies.

■Specific Responsibilities
While the scope and specific details will vary depending on the department and the individual assigned, the following is an example:
・Organizational design and staffing to realize departmental strategies
・Planning and executing global workforce planning (internal transfers and external hiring)
・Planning and executing personnel transfers that balance the company’s business needs with individual career goals
・Tracking and visualizing performance evaluations; developing and implementing individual career plans for employee development
・Measuring organizational culture and employee engagement, and developing and implementing solutions to identified issues
・Handling labor and employment-related matters

Qualifications

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Individuals who can share the same perspective as executives and tackle challenges as agents of change
・Individuals with excellent judgment who can respect each and every employee on the front lines while pursuing an ideal vision

■ Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Individuals who have been involved in transformation projects in roles such as corporate planning or business planning at a business company, or who have experience as an HR Business Partner
・Individuals with at least three years of experience at a consulting firm, including experience working on-site at client locations
・Individuals with a TOEIC score of 700 or higher, or those capable of communicating in English without difficulty during internal meetings

Work Conditions

Full-time employee (permanent position, with a 3-month probationary period)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 6.72–12.96 million yen (Monthly Salary: 420,000–720,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

■ Working Hours
Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work schedule
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Flexible hours…6:00–9:00 and 14:00–20:00; overtime work may occur

・Supervisors
Based on the working hours of the employee’s department; left to the employee’s discretion

■ Days Off and Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are considered workdays) Annual paid leave, special leave (including leave for weddings and bereavement), childcare and family care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs)
