Job Description
■Recruitment Background
The Fast Retailing Group is creating a “new industry” based on the “LifeWear” concept—one that transcends traditional industry boundaries—and is undertaking fundamental transformations of its business and revenue structures to achieve sustained global growth.For this position, we are seeking someone who can lead the resolution of management challenges in the indirect procurement domain—through structural transformations—by engaging business leaders, business units, and suppliers. Experience in procurement is not required. We look forward to applications from individuals with the ability to solve fundamental challenges, demonstrate leadership and execution skills, and who are interested in this position, which serves as a stepping stone to business leadership and CFO roles.
■ Department Overview
The Procurement Management Team within the Global Planning and Management Department—a division of the Fast Retailing Group’s Global Headquarters (GHQ)—is responsible for promoting low-cost management, ensuring proper procurement processes, and upholding governance across all global operations. The team is dedicated to creating world-class procurement processes and systems, and plays a key role in driving global growth and profit transformation.

Thorough implementation and promotion of company-wide low-cost management
・Leading efforts for the transformation of the profit structure and resolution of fundamental issues related to company-wide indirect material costs
・Cost reduction activities, including identifying opportunities for savings, direct negotiations with suppliers, and budget integration
・Supporting cost-reduction initiatives for overseas operations
・Supplier management activities
Ensuring compliance with proper procurement processes and safeguarding governance
・Lead efforts to resolve fundamental issues in procurement processes and governance
・Resolving issues through operational efficiency improvements and fundamental transformation

Qualifications
■Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・The ability to identify fundamental issues based on numerical data while maintaining a bird’s-eye view of the entire business through data analysis and on-site observation, as well as strong logical thinking skills
・Leadership and management skills to drive problem-solving and transformation by engaging diverse stakeholders, partner companies, and external departments while fostering consensus
・A strong service-oriented mindset (someone who is customer-focused and eager to help others)
・English: Daily conversation level (TOEIC score of 700 or higher is a guideline) or higher is required
■ Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in the accounting department of a trading company or operating company, or experience in corporate management support at a bank (no prior experience in purchasing or procurement is required)
・Experience with structural transformations and cost improvements in business management and operations
・Experience in indirect purchasing or procurement planning at an operating company
・Knowledge or industry experience in the fields of IT, logistics, or marketing
・Skills in negotiating prices and terms with business partners, regardless of industry
・English: Business level (able to communicate on an equal footing with representatives of overseas subsidiaries)

・Annual salary range: 6.72–12.96 million yen (Monthly salary: 420,000–720,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.
