Job Description

The Fast Retailing Group is creating a “new industry” based on the “LifeWear” concept, which transcends traditional industry boundaries. To achieve sustained global growth, we are undertaking fundamental transformations of our business and revenue structures.For this position, we are seeking a candidate who can lead the resolution of management challenges in the indirect procurement domain through structural transformation, while engaging business leaders, business units, and suppliers. Experience in procurement is not required. We welcome applications from individuals with the ability to solve fundamental challenges, demonstrate leadership and execution skills, and who are interested in this position—a stepping stone to roles in business management or as a CFO.

The Procurement Management Team within the Global Planning and Control Department—a division of the Fast Retailing Group’s Global Headquarters (GHQ)—is responsible for promoting low-cost management, ensuring proper procurement processes, and upholding governance across all global operations. We are committed to creating world-class procurement processes and systems, and play a key role in driving global growth and revenue transformation.

Thorough implementation and promotion of low-cost management across the entire company
・Lead efforts for the transformation of the profit structure and resolution of fundamental issues regarding company-wide indirect material costs
・Cost reduction activities, including identifying opportunities for savings, direct negotiations with suppliers, and budget integration
・Supporting cost reduction initiatives for overseas operations
・Supplier management activities
Ensuring proper procurement processes and governance
・Lead the resolution of fundamental issues in procurement processes and governance
・Resolving issues through operational efficiency improvements and fundamental transformation

Qualifications
■Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・The ability to identify fundamental issues based on numerical data while maintaining a broad perspective of the entire business through data analysis and on-site observation, as well as strong logical thinking skills
・Leadership and management skills to drive problem-solving and transformation by engaging diverse stakeholders, partner companies, and external departments while fostering consensus
・A service-oriented mindset (someone who is customer-focused and committed to helping others)
・English: Daily conversation level (TOEIC score of 700 or higher is a guideline) or higher is required
■ Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in the accounting department of a trading company or operating company, or experience in corporate management support at a bank (no prior experience in purchasing or procurement is required)
・Experience in structural transformation or cost improvement within business management and operations
・Experience in indirect purchasing or procurement planning at an operating company
・Knowledge or industry experience in the IT, logistics, or marketing fields
・Skills in negotiating prices and terms with business partners, regardless of industry
・English: Business level (able to communicate on an equal footing with personnel at overseas subsidiaries)

・Annual salary range: 6.72–12.96 million yen (Monthly salary: 420,000–720,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, not limited to the above.
