■Background of the Opening
As the driving force behind the Fast Retailing Group’s company-wide transformation and profit growth, the Planning and Management Department sets management goals and plans from the perspective of the global headquarters while also serving as the “treasurer” of the company. To build a robust, world-class financial foundation that supports a “global company aiming for 5 trillion yen in sales,” we are strengthening our organizational structure across all functions.
Additionally, within the finance function, Global Finance Services is responsible for accounting and financial operations as well as business transformation, providing the highest-quality finance services with maximum efficiency on a “Global One” basis every day. It also houses a Business Process Reengineering (BPR) function that drives operational consolidation and transformation in response to recent trends in digitalization and AI adoption. These two organizations operate as a unified global unit.

■ Department Overview
Fast Retailing’s accounting functions in Japan consist of the following five teams:
　Global Planning and Management Department, Consolidated Accounting Team
　　　　　　Planning and Management Department, Japan Business Accounting Team
　Global Finance Services, Tokyo Accounting Team
　Global Finance Services, Global Cost Team
　Global Finance Services, Yamaguchi Accounting Team

The Accounting Teams are responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely and accurate manner, and for reporting the financial information necessary for management decision-making to internal and external stakeholders. At the same time, they are required to identify issues and resolve problems based on accounting data, as well as to continuously verify and strengthen the effectiveness of internal controls.
Depending on their specific functions, members of the Accounting Team are based at the Ariake and Roppongi headquarters or the Yamaguchi headquarters, and they carry out their duties in collaboration with the Finance Services teams in Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai, as well as with accounting teams in various countries.

■Job Description
We are currently seeking accounting professionals. Specifically, as a candidate for a leadership role in one of the following five areas, you will be expected to perform the duties listed below.
　・Consolidated Accounting: Consolidated financial statements and disclosures, audit support, establishment of accounting policies, and operational guidance for subsidiaries.
　・Japan Business Financial Closing: Preparing financial statements for Japanese subsidiaries, providing financial reports to management, and resolving day-to-day issues.
　・Cost Accounting: Cost accounting and cost variance analysis reporting for global operations, and implementation of process and cost improvement measures.
　・Japan Tax: Handling tax filings for Japanese subsidiaries in collaboration with a certified public tax accountant firm; tax effect accounting and tax consulting.
　・Tokyo Accounting and Yamaguchi Accounting: Responsible for specific accounting tasks; rotates every 1–2 years to gain broad operational experience.

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・At least 3 years of experience in accounting or cost accounting at a global company with 3,000 or more employees, or similar experience at an audit firm
・Ability to proactively engage others and solve problems
・Strong communication skills

■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
・Nippon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bookkeeping Level 2 or higher
・Experience in cost accounting at a manufacturing company
・English proficiency (Guideline: TOEIC score of 700 or higher). We also welcome candidates who, while lacking work experience using English, are eager to acquire these skills in the future.

・Annual Salary Range: 6.72–12.96 million yen (Monthly Salary: 420,000–720,000 yen)

・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
