Job Description

■ Background of the Opening
This position involves leading the development of a logistics system to fundamentally transform traditional shipping operations—particularly in the area of production logistics (international transport from the country of origin to the country of sale)—as part of our company’s supply chain transformation, ensuring reliable delivery to customers exactly when they need it. We are seeking a candidate capable of continuously implementing fundamental solutions to various challenges related to customs clearance and international trade.

■Department Overview
The Production Logistics Team is dedicated to realizing our mission: “Ensuring that the products customers want are always available in the right quantity, at the right time, and in the right place.” We are a department that drives the advancement and efficiency of the entire supply chain—from production countries (such as China, Vietnam, and Bangladesh) to sales countries (countries with physical stores and e-commerce services worldwide).To achieve our business sales plan (delivering exactly what is needed, when it is needed, and in the required quantity), nearly 50 members based in production countries and Japan plan, review, and execute transportation to the sales destinations.


■Job Description
・Our supply chain spans production countries (Vietnam, Bangladesh, China, etc.) and sales countries (countries with physical stores and e-commerce services worldwide). Immediately upon joining, you will be responsible for a range of import-related tasks for the UNIQLO business in Japan, which serves as a sales country.
・As we aim to build a global business worth 10 trillion yen, we plan to bring in-house operations worldwide. We expect you to lead projects to bring shipping operations in-house and to oversee the entire process from evaluating to implementing new systems.

・The Job Description may change depending on department transfers or organizational restructuring, within the scope of duties related to each department at headquarters.

Qualifications

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in transformation initiatives (across any field)
・Project management experience
・Business-level English proficiency
・Ability to tackle challenges by securing support from others and leading the effort to a successful resolution

■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in import/export trade operations, shipping operations, and customs clearance at a shipping agent or freight forwarder

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 7.2–11.52 million yen (Monthly Salary: 450,000–640,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluation)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above

Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work hours
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Flexible hours…6:00 AM–9:00 AM and 2:00 PM–8:00 PM (Overtime work may be required)

Based on the working hours of the employee’s department; left to the employee’s discretion

Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are working days) Annual paid leave, special leave (including bereavement leave), childcare and nursing care leave systems, etc.
