Job Description
■Recruitment Background
At the Fast Retailing Group, we are not treating our e-commerce business as just another retail division; instead, the entire company is working together to achieve "e-commerce as our core business," driving a major transformation of the business itself. We are seeking a Web Director who can help lead this shift by creating e-commerce sites that are easier for customers to use and provide greater satisfaction.
■About the Department
The Global Digital Commerce Department oversees e-commerce operations not only in Japan but globally, handling all aspects of the e-commerce business, including business planning, development, photography, and design.
The Global E-Commerce Business Management Team, to which you will be assigned, handles global business planning, content creation (including branding content and feature pages), and experience design for e-commerce sites and apps. We aim to provide the world’s best e-commerce platform for conveying the essence of LifeWear to our customers.
■Job Description
This position involves proposing designs from both business strategy and user experience perspectives, and participating in the creative production of various digital content and the design of e-commerce storefronts. For example, you will work with the relevant business divisions to create content and storefronts—such as pages that effectively showcase seasonal collections, e-commerce storefronts that are easy for people of all ages and genders to shop in, live commerce pages, and presentations of the worldview for collaboration products—and lead the direction of UI/UX design and creative production from the early stages.
Specifically, depending on your experience, you will be expected to perform the following tasks:
・Creating UX scenarios, designing site architecture, producing wireframes, and managing production schedules
・Leading projects such as UI/UX improvements and new feature development
・UI/UX improvements based on A/B testing
・Improving global e-commerce operations based on business expansion strategies, and collaborating with internal and external teams
・Planning, production, and improvement of special feature sites and microsites, as well as their global rollout
・Directing user research, including user testing and interviews
・Web analytics and report creation
・Joint projects with external partner companies and brands
*The Job Description may change depending on department transfers or organizational restructuring, within the scope of duties related to each department within the headquarters.
■ Position Highlights
・This is an environment where you can easily appreciate the significant impact on society and the scale of the business through branding and creative production for the UNIQLO and GU e-commerce sites, which are visited by customers from all over the world.
・You will have the opportunity to create new shopping experiences for customers by integrating our physical stores, which operate in countries and regions around the world, with our e-commerce sites.
■Career Path
・You can expect to advance your career as a specialist or manager in digital fields such as e-commerce and web.
・There are also opportunities for career development into roles such as "Country E-commerce Manager," "Business Unit Manager," "New Business Development Manager," and "E-commerce Management Strategy."
*We will consider career development and internal transfers based on your aptitude.
