Job Description
■Recruitment Background
Our group operates brands such as UNIQLO on a global scale and aims to become the world’s leading apparel retailer. To achieve this goal, our Legal Department is committed to providing proactive and strategic legal services, driving projects forward, resolving issues, and contributing to the overall business by providing the necessary information for sound management decisions. ■ Department Overview
・Mission: As the department overseeing the Group’s global legal functions, we collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders to identify and resolve fundamental issues, thereby contributing to management decisions across the entire Group.
・Organizational Structure: The Legal & Compliance Department consists of three teams: the Legal Team, the Intellectual Property Team, and the Compliance Team. The position being recruited for is part of the Legal Team, which consists of approximately 15 members.
■Job Description
・Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts with domestic and international business partners
・Researching and compiling relevant laws and regulations in Japan and overseas, and based on this, conducting legal risk analysis, as well as proposing measures to mitigate risks
・Investigating, legally analyzing, and assisting in the resolution of various disputes arising domestically and internationally, as well as supporting the formulation and implementation of measures to prevent recurrence
・Promoting awareness, conducting training, establishing systems, and driving the implementation of initiatives to improve legal compliance within our group
・Other governance management, legal compliance management, and legal advisory services

Upon joining the company, you will be assigned to various domestic and international legal tasks based on your prior experience. Through these specific assignments, you will deepen your understanding of the Group’s overall business and other departments while acquiring the knowledge and skills required of a legal professional within our Group. ■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in any of the following
Work experience at a domestic or international law firm, or equivalent legal practice experience
Legal practice experience within a corporation
・Ability to review and draft contracts in English and Japanese, and ability to negotiate with internal stakeholders and clients
・Ability to analyze facts and laws, and resolve issues and disputes based on such analysis
■ Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Lawyer’s license in Japan and/or major countries overseas
・Study abroad experience in English-speaking countries, or training and work experience overseas
・Work experience at multinational companies, regardless of whether they are Japanese or foreign-owned
・Experience in any of the following
Work experience at a domestic or international law firm, or equivalent legal practice experience

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 8 million yen – 21 million yen (Monthly Salary: 500,000 yen – 1,040,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, not limited to the above.

Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
