Background
Our group aims to become the world's number one apparel retailer by developing UNIQLO and other brands on a global scale. In order to achieve this goal, the Legal Department, which is responsible for the legal function, is aiming to further strengthen its human resources in order to realize a system that can contribute to the overall business by providing active and strategic legal services, promoting and resolving matters, and providing materials for appropriate management decisions. In addition to legal background and expertise, we are looking for individuals with advanced thinking and judgment skills and a willingness to actively promote business while collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Outline of the Department
The mission of this department is to contribute to the management decision-making of the entire group by identifying and resolving essential issues in cooperation with related parties in Japan and overseas, as the department that oversees the global legal functions of the group.
Organizational Structure: The Legal & Compliance Department consists of three teams: the Legal Team, the Intellectual Property Team, and the Compliance Team. The position being recruited for this time belongs to the Legal Team. The Legal Team has approximately 15 members.

Job Description
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts with domestic and overseas business partners.
Research and compile relevant Japanese and overseas laws and regulations, analyze legal risks and propose risk mitigation measures based on this research and compilation.
Support for clarification, legal analysis, resolution, and implementation of recurrence prevention plans for various problems that arise in Japan and overseas.
Education, training, establishment of systems, and promotion of implementation to improve legal compliance within our group.
Other governance management, legal compliance management, legal advice, etc.

Career Path
After entering the company, depending on your experience, you will be engaged in a variety of domestic and overseas legal work. Through specific assignments, you will deepen your understanding of the Group's business as a whole and other departments, while acquiring the knowledge and abilities required of legal personnel in the Group. In the future, we expect that you will be able to take charge of the overall legal affairs of our group.

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities
Experience in one of the following
Experience working at a domestic or foreign law firm or equivalent legal work experience
Legal work experience in a corporate environment

Ability to review and draft contracts in English and Japanese, and negotiate internally and with business partners
Ability to analyze facts, laws and regulations, and resolve issues and disputes based on such analysis

Qualification as a lawyer in Japan and/or major foreign countries
Experience studying, training and working abroad in English-speaking countries

Annual salary range: 8-21 million yen (monthly salary: 500,000-1 million yen)
