Job Description
■Recruitment Background
Our group operates brands such as UNIQLO on a global scale and aims to become the world’s leading apparel retailer. To achieve this goal, our Legal Department—which oversees legal affairs—is committed to providing proactive and strategic legal services, driving projects forward, resolving issues, and supplying the information necessary for sound management decisions. ■ Department Overview
・Mission: As the department overseeing the Group’s global legal functions, we collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders to identify and resolve fundamental issues, thereby contributing to management decisions across the entire Group.
・Organizational Structure: The Legal and Compliance Department consists of three teams: the Legal Team, the Intellectual Property Team, and the Compliance Team. The position we are recruiting for is within the Legal Team, which consists of approximately 15 members.
■Job Description
・Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts with domestic and international business partners
・Researching and compiling relevant laws and regulations in Japan and overseas, and based on this, conducting legal risk analysis, as well as considering and proposing risk mitigation measures
・Investigating and clarifying various disputes arising domestically and internationally; conducting legal analysis; assisting with resolution; and supporting the formulation and implementation of measures to prevent recurrence
・Conducting awareness campaigns, educational training, and establishing systems to improve legal compliance within our Group, as well as promoting their implementation
・Other governance management, legal compliance management, and legal advisory services

Qualifications
■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in any of the following:
Work experience at a domestic or international law firm, or equivalent legal practice experience
Experience in corporate legal affairs
・Ability to review and draft contracts in English and Japanese, and ability to negotiate with internal stakeholders and clients
・Ability to analyze facts and laws, and to resolve issues and disputes based on such analysis
■ Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Lawyer’s license in Japan and/or major countries overseas
・Experience studying in an English-speaking country, or training or work experience abroad
・Work experience at multinational companies, whether Japanese-owned or foreign-owned
・Experience in any of the following:
Work experience at a domestic or international law firm, or equivalent legal practice experience
Experience in corporate legal affairs
・Ability to review and draft contracts in English and Japanese, and ability to negotiate with internal stakeholders and clients

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 8 million to 21 million yen (Monthly Salary: 500,000 to 1,040,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

・Flexible work schedule
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
