Recruitment Background
Fast Retailing Group is currently promoting the "Ariake Project," a company-wide transformation to become a "Digital Consumer Retail Company" that transcends the traditional framework of a retailer. We are promoting the "Ariake Project," a company-wide reform to transform ourselves into a "Digital Consumer Retail Company. To achieve this, our Digital Business Transformation Service Department is leading the company-wide business transformation not only by promoting globalization, cloud computing, and mobility using the latest technologies, but also by promoting "aggressive IT," which is IT that generates profits. This position is for a Technical Program Manager (Tech PM) who will align teams from development to release and resolve conflicting technical issues in order to scale out and expand the organization.
■ Department Overview
The mission of the Digital Business Transformation Services Department is to define the "ideal" business operations from the customer's perspective, and to lead and realize business transformation using the latest IT technologies. In order to realize the "Ariake Project", we are accelerating the in-house development of core systems centered on supply chain as well as EC and store systems. In addition to project managers, a wide range of personnel are active in this field, including in-house development engineers, data scientists, and UI/UX designers. The in-house development team consists of about 100 engineers, including front-end, back-end, DevOps, QAE, and architects, who are working together to provide optimal services for the group and globally.
Job Description
Standardize cross-team development processes for B2C EC site development
Coordinate a series of workflows including agile development, QA, staging/production release, DevOps, etc.
Coordination of development schedule priorities and roadmap for global countries in collaboration with project managers and product managers in terms of requirements
Coordinate and resolve technical issues among various development teams in a microservices environment
Facilitation and communication between engineering teams
Manage budgets and metrics for the outsourced development portion of the project.
Empowerment and career development to help engineers grow (senior level only).

Qualifications
Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
Hands-on development or operation experience in B2C services with a team of 10 or more engineers for at least 2-3 years.
(Web frontend / Native app / Backend / DevOps / QAE. Any type is acceptable)
Experience coordinating and leading engineering tasks that require communication in English.
Experience in organizing complex technical issues logically, identifying root causes, and resolving them
Native Japanese + English TOEIC score of 800 or above, or native English + JLPT N1 or equivalent

Experience giving technical presentations in public
Experience in cloud computing with major cloud services such as AWS, GCP, etc.
Experience in building commonly and universally used frameworks and libraries

Knowledge of automation technologies such as continuous integration and continuous deployment
Experience and understanding of testing methodologies and quality control

Experience in training and career development of engineers (for senior level candidates only)
Preferred orientation
