Fast Retailing is expanding its global operations and strengthening its management foundation to continue delivering better products to customers worldwide. The Management Planning department serves as the CFO function, supporting the company’s key decision-making with data-driven insights, and leads sales and profit growth across the entire Fast Retailing Group, including the UNIQLO, GU, Theory, and PLST businesses.Going beyond mere budget formulation and management, this role involves identifying fundamental business challenges through data analysis and working closely with executive management and business units to drive solutions and improve performance. With an eye toward future global growth and the advancement of management practices, we are seeking a candidate who, as a future CFO, can deeply engage in business operations and lead business transformation.

■Department Overview
This organization is responsible for formulating budgets and mid-term business plans for the entire Fast Retailing Group and its individual businesses, as well as managing actual performance. It also identifies business challenges through numerical analysis and drives solutions by engaging cross-functionally.You will be expected to share responsibility with executive management and business units for achieving performance targets and to lead the execution of plans through to completion. While maintaining a medium- to long-term perspective, this role involves addressing performance improvements on a half-yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily basis to drive tangible change and achieve business growth.
Furthermore, the role involves working to build Global One’s finance platform and enhance and standardize operations through the use of AI, aiming to evolve into a high-value-added corporate planning function that goes beyond mere administrative tasks.

■Job Description
Depending on your experience and career aspirations, you will be responsible for one of the following areas:
(1) Domestic Business Management Planning
At operating companies such as UNIQLO, GU, Theory, and PLST, you will be responsible for the following:
・Formulation of annual budgets and mid-term business plans
・Monitoring monthly, weekly, and daily performance and analyzing actual vs. budget results
・Analyzing the profitability of products, stores, and various investment initiatives
・Identifying business challenges and planning and implementing improvement measures to achieve performance targets
・Reporting to the CEO, COO, and CFO

(2) Group Management Planning (GHQ)
At the global headquarters, you will be responsible for the following:
・Formulation of the Group’s Mid-Term Management Plan
・Management of Group consolidated financial performance
・Management support for each country and business unit
・Addressing global management challenges
・Support for investment decisions and management decision-making
・Collaboration with CEOs and CFOs in each country

(3) Global Projects and Business Transformation
To advance the sophistication of strategic planning operations, you will drive the following projects:
・Establishment of a global single platform
・Business transformation through the use of AI and technology
・Standardization of FP&A processes
・Rollout of best practices

The Planning and Management Department encompasses a wide range of finance functions, including business planning, accounting, finance, tax, and investor relations, offering diverse opportunities based on your aptitude and career aspirations.
We expect you to gain experience in business planning for domestic and international operations, as well as in corporate headquarters’ business planning and transformation projects, with the goal of eventually taking on roles as a CFO for various countries and business units or as a global executive.

■Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Practical experience and knowledge in accounting and finance at a business company, as well as practical experience in corporate planning, management control, and business planning
・Experience similar to the above at an accounting consulting firm, audit firm, or financial institution

・Strong communication and negotiation skills
・Individuals who can demonstrate leadership and followership and deliver results as part of a team
・English proficiency is preferred, as there is a possibility of being assigned to an overseas post in the future

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 8.5 million to 25 million yen (Monthly Salary: 500,000 to 1.18 million yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
