Job Description
■Department Overview
・The Business Management Advisory Department (hereinafter referred to as BMA) serves as the audit and management support function for the Fast Retailing Group, identifying business challenges and implementing improvements and business transformation.
It serves as a “management development organization” that identifies business challenges from an executive’s perspective, as well as the fundamental challenges faced by each business unit, and guides them toward solutions.
As a result, BMA serves as the “right-hand man to executives” and contributes significantly to the Fast Retailing Group’s potential for sustainable growth. Furthermore, through this mission, the department continuously develops and produces future executive candidates from within its ranks, establishing its role as a “gateway to becoming an executive.”
・BMA is an organization of approximately 50 people worldwide. At the Global Headquarters (GHQ) in Japan, there are two teams: (1) Business Audit and (2) Store Audit. The position being recruited for belongs to the (1) Business Audit Team. The Business Audit Team at GHQ is currently a small, elite team of just under 10 members, including the leader and department head.
■ Background of the Recruitment
・BMA is reorganizing its global Business Audit teams and strengthening the existing organization at its GHQ in Japan to maximize the performance of the Business Management Support Department within Global One. To achieve this, we are accelerating internal talent development while seeking a strong new team member to lead the team alongside us.
・With GHQ as the hub, we aim to strengthen capabilities overseas as well, fostering leader-level talent from each team to form a hybrid team that transcends national borders. We will then carry out our mission through a concerted global effort.
■Job Description
(1) Delve deeply into the business operations and core functions of the entire Fast Retailing Group (domestic and overseas), identify fundamental challenges through on-site observation, reality, and tangible evidence, and work in coordination with relevant departments to implement improvements.
(2) Examine the Fast Retailing Group’s businesses from every angle, evaluate them, and develop strategies for future business restructuring (improvement).
(3) Ensure the effective implementation of internal controls across the entire Fast Retailing Group, while establishing the organizational structure necessary to improve business efficiency, maximize sales and profits, and standardize operations, thereby contributing to the Group’s overall growth.
・There are no restrictions on the areas subject to audit; we identify and resolve all manner of issues.
・As we delve into the details of business operations and core functions, we will collaborate with executives from each business unit, country, and relevant department as appropriate, and work together with all on-site teams, including stores and the supply chain.
・The work itself is project-based and lasts approximately three months, including on-site investigations to identify business challenges and develop solutions.
During this period, depending on your assignment, you may be required to take several business trips lasting two to three weeks, including trips overseas.
・Presentations on each project will be given to the CEO (President) of the Fast Retailing Group and the executives of each country’s business operations.
*The Job Description is subject to change within the scope of duties related to each department at headquarters due to departmental transfers or organizational changes.
■ Career Path
・“Business Auditing”—a role unique to our company. By learning sound management practices as quickly as possible in this position—which operates as a GHQ function directly under the Group CEO—you will gain valuable experience that will greatly benefit your future career.
・In the future, you may have the opportunity to work overseas.
