Job Description

Background and mission of the department
UNIQLO, a core brand within the Fast Retailing Group, has adopted the concept of "LifeWear" (clothing that enriches the lives of all people, the ultimate in everyday wear) as the basis for its clothing manufacturing. This is sustainability itself, and we aim to realize a sustainable society by working together with outstanding individuals and companies through our company-wide business activities.

By providing all people around the world with the joy, happiness, and satisfaction of wearing good clothes, we will "change the world for the better. That is the sustainability we aim for.

Thus, we are required to promote sustainability activities that solve both "business issues" and "issues faced by society," going beyond the social contribution activities and ethical procurement that we have focused on in the past. Therefore, in this position, we are looking not only for those who have experience in social contribution projects, etc., but also for those who have experience and skills in a variety of fields, who share our company's direction as described above, and who are eager to take on the challenge.

■Mission and Job Description for each area
The following duties are envisioned for this open position. Since many of the tasks are closely related to each other, there is a possibility that the assignment may cover multiple areas, depending on the tasks you are in charge of.

(1) Factory labor environment transformation team
The team identifies potential risks and formulates policies and measures to address them in order to prevent labor problems in the supply chain, monitors the working environment and implements preventive and corrective measures, and communicates these activities internally and externally (in cooperation with and support for overseas offices).

(2) Social Innovation Team
The Social Innovation Team is responsible for the following activities. the team aims to solve social issues and create new value through the clothing business based on the company's sustainability statement, "The power of clothing is the power of society. The team will contribute to social stability and sustainable development in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers, UN agencies, and NGOs, and plan and execute initiatives that have global and local impact.

(3) Global Environmental Management Team
The Global Environmental Management Team will promote the reduction of environmental burdens by implementing programs to address climate change, biodiversity, and other global issues, as well as to counter environmental pollution in the supply chain and to realize a recycling-oriented society.

(4) Disclosure Team
The team aims to enhance corporate value by disseminating correct and comprehensive sustainability-related information to the public, with investors, experts, and other stakeholders as major stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
Able to work on problem solving as a change agent with the same perspective as the management.
English communication skills and work experience (TOEIC score of 800 or above is a good rule of thumb)
Experience in any of the following
(1) Project management experience at a business company (trading company, plant engineering company, or major manufacturer)
(2)Experience in project management at a business company (trading company, plant engineering company, or major manufacturer)
(2) Experience working on environmental and labor issues in the construction of overseas bases.
Experience in building supply chains for domestic and overseas production bases
Experience engaged in climate and environmental surveys in energy-related businesses (coal, solar, wind power)
(2) Work experience in various areas of sustainability at consulting firms, government agencies, etc.

Annual salary
Annual salary range: 672-17.2 million yen (monthly salary: 42-956,000 yen)
Commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (*All in accordance with our company's regulations)
Bonuses: Semiannual bonus twice a year, year-end bonus (whether or not to be paid and the amount will be decided according to the company's performance and personnel evaluation)
Promotion: Twice a year (determined according to personnel evaluation)
