Job Description
UNIQLO is the core brand of the Fast Retailing Group, which aims to become the world's No. 1 apparel company.
We have created a new industry called "information manufacturing and retailing" through LifeWear by abandoning past successes in order to become a global top company, and by continuing to grow while adapting to the times.
Our concept of LifeWear is a completely new and unprecedented idea of "clothing" that fundamentally changes the concept of "clothing" born from Western history. Clothes that enrich the lives of all people, regardless of nationality, race, gender, or age. They are aesthetically rational, simple, high quality, and full of ingenuity in detail. Everyday clothing that has been thought through based on the needs of daily life and continues to evolve. To create such LifeWear, we need to reflect information from our customers around the world in all areas of our business, including manufacturing, marketing, and sales, in the shortest and fastest possible time, and continue to respond to customer demands at a higher level.
Therefore, we are looking for a next-generation management candidate in the product area who will drive our business growth by continuously creating and delivering products that embody LifeWear to our customers around the world.
In the future, we expect the successful candidate to become a department manager or executive in the Merchandise Division, which plays a central role in UNIQLO's business. In order to achieve this in the shortest possible route, we will create a career plan tailored to each individual, assigning and transferring them to multiple departments so that they can gain the experience required to understand the entire business as a manager in the product area.
For example, the MD Department is responsible for the development of new hit products that will become synonymous with UNIQLO, such as HEATTECH, AIRism, and Ultra Light Down, and for the sales strategy of planned products, and is the command tower of product development and sales. The Marketing Department is responsible for communicating LifeWear's ideas and stories behind its products to the world.
After being assigned to a department, we expect you to gain experience as a professional in your area of responsibility and take on management duties as a team leader at an early stage. Although there are various departments in the Product Division other than those mentioned above, we expect that you will develop into a person who can view things from a high perspective as a manager in the product area, and who can optimize not only the individual optimization of each department, but also the overall view.
After one to two years of working in a physical store, which is the essence of UNIQLO's business, you will be assigned to one of the above departments.
Job Descriptions are subject to change as a result of departmental or organizational changes.
