■About the Department
・There are two roles for MDs at GU: “MDs attached to the Global Merchandising Division,” who are responsible for global business and product strategies as well as overall development, and “MDs” who drive local business strategies within each country’s operations.
・This opening is for an MD attached to the Global Merchandising Division.

■Job Responsibilities
・Each MD will be responsible for planning, developing, and producing original brand products representing sales of over several billion yen. They will also work in consultation with management and MDs in each country where the brand operates to formulate guiding product, sales, and marketing plans.
・You will play a key role in overseeing and driving all aspects of product management—the most critical factor in making GU the world’s number one global brand.
・Job responsibilities may change within the scope of duties related to each department within the division due to departmental transfers or organizational changes.

■ Required Knowledge/Experience/Skills
・At least 3 years of experience as an apparel MD
・Candidates with leadership or management experience are welcome

・Ability to make data-driven decisions across all areas (product trends, costs)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 5.28–10.26 million yen (Monthly Salary: 330,000–570,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

■ Working Hours
Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work schedule
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Flexible hours…6:00–9:00 and 14:00–20:00 (Overtime may be required)

・Supervisory Employees
Based on the working hours of the employee’s department; left to the employee’s discretion

■ Days Off and Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are considered workdays) Annual paid leave, special leave (including leave for weddings and bereavement), childcare and nursing care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs)
