Job Description
■Recruitment Background
UNIQLO's "UT" line, launched in 2007, delivers art, music, film, anime, and pop culture from around the world to customers globally under the slogan "WEAR YOUR WORLD."Through trending content and an overwhelming variety of colors, patterns, and shapes, we enable customers to enjoy wearing what they love, providing clothing that freely expresses each individual's personality. To further evolve the creation of clothing that embodies this "WEAR YOUR WORLD" philosophy, we are seeking new team members.
■Job Description
You will broadly plan and design pop culture from around the world (art, music, film, anime, etc.) as UT. This includes creating planning materials and presentation boards, and you will be responsible for the entire process from design through final product completion and sales.
Specifically, the Job Description includes:
・Develop concepts by analyzing trending pop culture, fashion trends, customer needs, and other multifaceted factors.
・After project approval, collaborate with licensing teams, marketing, and other departments/teams to design items primarily T-shirts, but also other UT merchandise.
・During the production process, you will lead discussions with rights holders regarding data usage and fabric selection, maintain close communication with partner factories, and oversee the process until high-quality products are completed.
*The Job Description may change within the scope of tasks related to each department at headquarters due to department transfers or organizational changes.

After excelling as a UT designer, depending on your aspirations and aptitude, you may advance to lead the UT design team or transfer to other design teams or departments to broaden your scope as a designer.

Qualifications
■Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience
・Deep understanding of and strong interest in global pop culture
・Graphic design experience in pop culture (art, music, film, anime, textiles) (3+ years of practical experience)
※ Experience applying graphics to apparel products at fashion apparel brands is highly desirable
・Proficient in using graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator). (Word and Excel skills are a plus)
■Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Experience
・Daily conversational English skills (including using translation tools for emails and internal/external meetings)
・Knowledge of T-shirt bodies and materials is highly desirable

Work Conditions

■Employment Type: Contract Employee (Fixed-term, with a 3-month probationary period)
(After the second year, if performance and evaluations meet the criteria for regular employee status, conversion to regular employee is the premise)
*Employment contracts may be renewed based on the company's operational needs and the employee's performance (no automatic renewal)
※There is no limit on contract renewals (total duration or number of renewals).
■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: ¥4.95-7.2 million (Monthly Salary: ¥320,000-450,000)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (payment and amount determined based on company performance and personnel evaluation)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluation)
*Salary will be determined based on company policy, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, in addition to the above.
■Working Hours
・Either standard working hours or flextime system (determined based on job duties, expected role, and assigned department; notified during the job offer interview)
・Standard Working Hours System
8 hours of actual work and 1 hour break between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
・Flextime System
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours, Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Flexible Time: 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Overtime work may occur)
■Holidays & Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays) Annual paid leave, special/bereavement leave, childcare/nursing care leave systems, etc.
※Whether national holidays are also designated as days off in addition to the holidays listed above shall be individually stipulated in the contract for temporary employees.
*Special leave is granted separately from paid leave during the first and second half-year holidays (number of days granted varies by employment type and affiliated company).
