Job Description

Background
Launched in 2007, UNIQLO's "UT" brand brings art, music, movies, animation, and pop culture from around the world to customers around the world under the slogan "WEAR YOUR WORLD". With its hot content and overwhelming variety of colors, patterns, and shapes, UNIQLO offers customers the joy of wearing what they love, and provides clothing that allows each individual to freely express their individuality. We are looking for new associates to help us further evolve our clothing production that embodies "WEAR YOUR WORLD".

Job Description
As a UT, you will plan and design a wide range of pop culture from around the world (art, music, movies, animation, etc.). You will also be responsible for creating planning materials and presentation boards, and will be responsible for everything from design to the completion of the final product to commercialization.
Specifically, the following Job Descriptions are required.
You will be responsible for planning while analyzing the current pop culture, fashion trends, customer needs, etc. from multiple perspectives.
After the planning is decided, you will design T-shirts and other items handled by UT in cooperation with other departments and teams, such as the licensing team and marketing team.
In the process of creating products, you will lead the selection of data and fabrics to be used while discussing with copyright holders, and communicate closely with client factories to create products with a high degree of perfection.

Job Descriptions are subject to change within the scope of work related to each department of the headquarters due to departmental transfers and organizational changes.

■Career Path
After working as a designer at UT, you may be promoted to a leadership position in the UT design team, or you may be transferred to another design team or department to broaden your career field as a designer, depending on your ambition and aptitude.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Abilities/Experience
Strong interest in and deep understanding of global pop culture.
Experience in graphic design of pop culture (art, music, film, animation, textiles, etc.) (at least 3 years of work experience)
Experience in graphic design for actual apparel products, such as for fashion apparel brands, is highly desirable.
Able to use graphic related software (Photoshop, Illustrator) without any problems. (Word and Excel are also a plus).

Preferred Knowledge/Abilities/Experience
Daily English conversation skills (using translation functions, etc., for e-mail, internal and external meetings)
Knowledge of T-shirt bodies and materials is a plus.

Employment Status: Temporary employee (with a probationary period of 3 months)
(After the second year, if performance, evaluation, etc. meet the criteria for promotion to permanent employee, the position will be made permanent.)
The employment contract may be renewed in consideration of the company's business needs and the individual's performance (no automatic renewal).
There is no upper limit to the number of contract renewals (total period or number of renewals).

■Annual salary
Annual salary range: 4,950,000-7,200,000 yen (monthly salary: 320,000-450,000 yen)
Commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (*All in accordance with our company's regulations)
Bonuses: Semiannual bonus twice a year, year-end bonus (whether or not to be paid and the amount will be decided according to the company's performance and personnel evaluation)
Promotion: Twice a year (determined according to personnel evaluation)
(Not limited to the above, but will be determined based on the annual salary and experience of previous employees in accordance with the Company's regulations.

Working hours
Either a general working hour system or a flex-time system (to be determined according to the nature of the work, expected role, and department to which the employee will be assigned, to be announced at the informal interview)
General working hours
8 hours of actual work between 7:00 and 18:00 with 1 hour break
Flextime system
Standard working hours per day ... 8 hours, break ... 1 hour
Core time ... 9:00 - 14:00
Flexible hours ... 6:00 - 9:00 and 14:00 - 20:00 with overtime

Vacations and Vacations
