■Department Overview:
The R&D department, where you will be hired, is a team of experts dedicated to bringing the "LifeWear" concept—the ultimate everyday wear—to life. In-house designers and patternmakers work across six global locations centered in Tokyo (Tokyo/Shanghai/Paris/London/NY/LA).Our mission is to plan products that match people's living environments, lifestyles, and the times, translating practical design needs into the "LifeWear" concept. We continuously provide thoughtfully simple clothing to improve and enrich the lives of people worldwide. Through clothing, we aim to keep sparking innovation in the world.

■Job Description:
・Lead the entire process for men's products, from planning to pattern/specification creation, communicating with partner factories, sample confirmation, and launching products in collaboration with the MD and Marketing departments.
Specifically:
　・During product planning, gather information not only domestically but also internationally to develop globally competitive products.
　・Propose appealing product specifications and fits for people worldwide.
　・Collaborate with diverse teams including MD, production, and R&D designers to lead the creation of high-quality products.
・Target items include all products sold: men's outerwear, bottoms, shirts, knitwear, innerwear, loungewear, etc. However, your initial focus will be determined based on your expertise at the time of joining.
・The Job Description may change within the scope of tasks related to each department at headquarters due to department transfers or organizational changes.

Depending on your aspirations and aptitude, diverse career paths are possible as a patternmaker, including shifts within men's item categories, rotations to different genders or age groups (e.g., women's, kids'), or career development at other global locations.

【Patternmaker Career Example】
・After joining as a men's patternmaker, their high-precision pattern development and proposal skills grounded in field understanding were recognized, enabling them to become a core member immediately upon joining.
In their second year, they were stationed in Shanghai, closer to production factories. Through detailed specifications, they led the creation of higher-quality products by maintaining close communication with partner factories. They continue to challenge themselves in creating high-quality products for customers worldwide through collaboration with local overseas teams and production factories.

■Required Knowledge/Experience/Skills
・5+ years of experience in creating specifications and patterns for men's products
　※Experience with any item type (woven, knit, or jersey) is welcome
・Work experience using CAD (pattern making)
・Excellent communication skills in Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N1)

■Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Experience
・Work experience with CAD (grading), Excel, and Illustrator
・English proficiency: Daily conversational level (TOEIC 700 points) or higher

※A practical skills test may be conducted during the selection process.

■Employment Type
First Year: Contract Employee (Fixed-term, with a 3-month probationary period)
(From the second year onward, regular employee status will be granted if performance and evaluations meet the criteria for regular employment)
※Employment contracts may be renewed based on the company's operational needs and the employee's performance (no automatic renewal)
※There is no upper limit on contract renewals (total period or number of renewals).

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: ¥6.24–8.00 million (Monthly Salary: ¥390,000–500,000)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (Payment and amount determined based on company performance and personnel evaluation)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluation)
*Salary will be determined based on company policy, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, in addition to the above.

■Working Hours
Either standard working hours or flextime system
(Determined based on job duties, expected role, and assigned department; notified during the offer interview)
・Standard Working Hours System
8 hours of actual work within 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including a 1-hour break
・Flextime System
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours, Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Flexible Time: 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Overtime work may occur)

■Holidays & Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays) Annual paid leave, special/bereavement leave, childcare/nursing care leave system, etc.
※Whether national holidays are also designated as days off in addition to the holidays listed above shall be individually stipulated in the contract for temporary employees.
※Special leave is granted separately from paid leave, allocated in the first and second halves of the year (number of days varies by employment type and company affiliation)
