Job Description

GU still faces many challenges on its path to becoming a true global brand.We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join us in advancing GU’s global challenge—delivering maximum fashion enjoyment through a minimal number of SKUs and affordable prices—by driving transformations across all aspects of the apparel business. This includes building a stronger management team through the recruitment and development of diverse talent; enhancing the quality of products and styling; creating shopping environments that make it easy for customers to shop; improving the accuracy of inventory and sales forecasts; and establishing a flexible system for additional production.
■ Department Overview
The mission of the Product Marketing Department, to which you will be assigned, is to conduct marketing development in tandem with product development to create globally applicable marketing assets—including concepts, visuals, and content—and to plan and execute marketing strategies with a cohesive narrative, ranging from branding to in-store promotional activities.
■Job Description
As GU continues to grow and aims to become a global fashion brand originating in Japan, you will lead the planning of product marketing strategies, the execution of initiatives, and brand building in close collaboration with senior management.
・You will form a single team with product development members such as designers and MDs across categories—including Women’s, Men’s, Kids, Merchandise, and Lingerie—to plan marketing strategies and execute initiatives throughout the season.
・You will build GU’s brand image and customer acquisition strategies, and oversee all creative production in collaboration with internal and external creators, including the development of visuals and content (e.g., TV commercials, websites, in-store promotional materials, key visuals, lookbooks, and editorial content).
・Formulate and execute mid-term branding initiatives to bring GU’s brand message, “Your Freedom,” to life on a global scale.
This is a highly rewarding environment where you will experience the dynamism and immediacy of your communication initiatives reaching customers directly—from approximately 480 stores domestically and internationally to mass promotions and outdoor advertising.

Candidates with experience in any of the following
・Experience in marketing or brand management at a business company
・Experience in marketing, communications, and planning as an Account Executive (AE) at an advertising agency
・Experience overseeing the entire process—from product planning and development to sales promotion—at a corporate client
・Experience in editing and producing fashion-related magazines or digital content
■ Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
Business-level English proficiency or a TOEIC score of 700 or higher
(Please include details regarding study abroad experience or practical use of English in your application)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 6.56 million yen – 12.06 million yen (Monthly Salary: 410,000 yen – 670,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance; overtime pay provided based on grade
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluation)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on our company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above

Flexible work hours, or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible Work Hours: Standard daily working hours of 8 hours, 1-hour break, core hours from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, flexible hours from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM; overtime work may be required
・Supervisory staff: Working hours are generally based on the department’s schedule and are left to the employee’s discretion
