Job Description
■Recruitment Background

GU still faces many challenges on its path to becoming a true global brand. These include building a stronger management team through the recruitment and development of a diverse workforce, enhancing the quality of products and styling, creating store environments that make shopping easier for customers,improving the accuracy of inventory and sales forecasts, and establishing a flexible system for additional production. We are seeking a candidate for a Product Marketing Leader position who can join us in advancing GU’s unique global challenge—enabling customers to enjoy fashion to the fullest with a minimal number of SKUs and affordable prices—through transformations across every aspect of the apparel business.
■ Department Overview
The mission of the Product Marketing Department, to which you will be assigned, is to conduct marketing development in tandem with product development, creating globally applicable marketing assets such as concepts, visuals, and content; and to formulate and execute globally applicable marketing plans—from branding to in-store promotional initiatives—that are narrative-driven.
■Job Description
At GU, a rapidly growing global fashion brand originating in Japan, you will lead the development of product marketing strategies, the execution of initiatives, and brand building in close collaboration with senior management. A key feature of our company is that designers, merchandisers (MDs), and marketing specialists form a single team for each category—including Women’s, Men’s, and Kids—to drive the entire process from product development to customer-facing marketing.While overseeing multiple categories, you will serve as the marketing lead for your assigned categories and take charge of the following responsibilities:
・Lead the development of marketing strategies for your assigned category throughout the season and oversee the execution of those initiatives.
・Developing GU’s brand image and customer acquisition strategies, and overseeing the overall creative production in collaboration with internal and external creators for visuals and content development (including TV commercials, websites, in-store promotional materials, key visuals, lookbooks, and editorial content).
・Formulating and executing mid-term branding initiatives to bring GU’s brand message, “Your Freedom,” to life on a global scale.
・Depending on your experience, you may also be responsible for team management.
With approximately 480 stores domestically and internationally, as well as mass promotions, outdoor advertising, and all other media utilized by GU, this is an environment where you can readily feel the dynamism of communication initiatives reaching customers directly and swiftly.

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in marketing or brand management at a business company or advertising agency (approximately 5 years or more)
・Experience in project management and team leadership
■ Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Business-level English proficiency or a TOEIC score of 700 or higher

・Annual Salary Range: 12.06 million yen – 16.20 million yen (Monthly Salary: 670,000 yen – 900,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance; overtime pay provided based on grade
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluation)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
