Job Description

■Recruitment Background

Fast Retailing (hereinafter “FR”), with the mission to “Change clothing, change conventions, and change the world,” has transformed its business model beyond the framework of traditional retail into a “Digital Consumer Retail Company.” As the world’s No. 1 apparel company originating in Japan, FR is leading industry transformation.
We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our team and help drive and enhance FR’s branding on a global scale by strengthening our creative capabilities.

■ Department Overview
The Global Creative Lab (hereinafter GCL) serves as FR’s [creative hub]. Based primarily in Tokyo, New York, Paris, and Shanghai, it collaborates with creative teams around the world to enhance the branding of the entire FR group, including UNIQLO.
The organization consists of creative directors, editors, art directors, graphic designers, project managers, and assistants. Team members join project teams of several people per assignment and carry out their work in collaboration with various departments.

■Job Description
Since the organization’s mission is to “enhance FR’s branding,” we handle all types of creative work, ranging from shopper design to large-scale initiatives such as seasonal campaigns.
Specifically, this includes the following, though we are open to handling any initiatives aimed at enhancing brand value beyond these examples.
・Various marketing and communication initiatives related to LifeWear.
・Editing of LifeWear magazine.
・Design of promotional materials required for stores, digital platforms, TV commercials, events, and more.
・Planning and operation of LifeWear events held in various countries.
・Concept design and specific initiatives for new flagship stores.

Within the FR Group, there are multiple departments both in Japan and overseas—including GCL in Japan, as well as individual brands such as UNIQLO and GU—where you can apply your creative skills. We implement a flexible rotation system to help you perform at your best, while taking your career aspirations and aptitudes into account.

Qualifications

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・At least 3 years of practical experience in graphic design at a commercial company (such as an apparel company or B2C manufacturer), an advertising agency, or a production company

■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC score of 700 or higher is preferred)

Work Conditions

■Company Name: Fast Retailing Co., Ltd.
■Employment Type: Contract Employee (Fixed-term, with a 3-month probationary period)
(Depending on performance and evaluations during the first year of the contract period, if you meet our criteria for full-time employment, we will consider hiring you as a full-time employee starting in the second year.)
* The employment contract as a contract employee will end after one year, and the contract will not be renewed.
* If you are not hired as a regular employee, your employment contract will end upon expiration of the contract term

■ Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 6.56 million yen – 16.20 million yen (Monthly Salary: 410,000 yen – 900,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

■ Working Hours
Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work schedule
 Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
 Core hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
 Flexible hours…6:00–9:00 and 14:00–20:00 (Overtime may be required)

・Supervisors
 Based on the working hours of the employee’s department; left to the employee’s discretion

■ Days Off and Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are workdays) Annual paid leave, special leave (including leave for weddings and funerals), childcare and family care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs)
