For this position, we seek someone to lead the evolution of UNIQLO's e-commerce business in Japan and, in the future, drive the advancement of e-commerce globally.
■Department Overview
The Japan Digital Commerce Department, where you will be assigned, is responsible for everything from strategy formulation to execution for the e-commerce business. It analyzes market trends and plans product strategies. Positioning the e-commerce business as the "world's largest flagship store," the department aims for accelerated business growth by: considering optimal product assortments from a customer-centric perspective; planning to eliminate stockouts; and developing new product opportunities based on numerical performance and customer feedback.
■Job Description
As the Product Planning Lead for UNIQLO's e-commerce business, you will be responsible for creating business plans and devising/executing initiatives.
・Analyze market trends and customer needs to create business plans (production, sales, inventory, and sales execution plans) for your assigned area
・Optimize inventory management and formulate sales strategies based on sales performance and demand forecasts, contributing to customer satisfaction and sales maximization
・Collaborate with relevant departments (Marketing/Production/Warehouse/Inventory Control/Customer Center) to drive strategic initiatives toward achieving sales targets
・Train and develop overseas e-commerce personnel to support business growth in target countries
*The Job Description may change within the scope of duties related to each headquarters department due to department transfers or organizational changes.
■Career Path
After working in UNIQLO's Japan operations, opportunities for advancement in overseas operations or other brands are expected. Examples of past hires include:
ーExample 1: Joined in 2020. Handled inventory management and product planning for Japan's e-commerce business, then worked for about one year supporting overseas operations at the global headquarters. Assigned as head of e-commerce operations in the Philippines starting in 2022, currently contributing to business development and training locally.
- Case 2: Joined in 2017. Served as a Project Manager at the Global Headquarters, leading launch support for new e-commerce markets and the deployment of e-commerce system infrastructure. Subsequently worked on product planning and digital marketing for the Japanese e-commerce business. Assigned to India in 2021 as the Head of E-commerce Business Launch.
As outlined above, there are abundant opportunities to lead the growth of our brand globally in the medium to long term, such as as EC business leaders in various countries/regions or new business development leaders. We actively consider career development and internal transfers, including to other departments, based on your aspirations and aptitude.
