Job Description
■Recruitment Background
Fast Retailing (hereinafter FR) operates under the mission to “Change clothes, change common sense, and change the world.” Moving beyond the traditional retail framework, we are transforming our business model into a “Digital Consumer Retail Company” and leading industry transformation as the world’s No. 1 apparel company originating in Japan.
We are seeking a member to join us as an Editor, working to promote and enhance FR’s branding on a global scale through the strengthening of our creative capabilities.
■ Department Overview
Global Creative Lab (hereinafter GCL) serves as the FR Group’s [creative hub]. Based primarily in Tokyo, New York, Paris, and Shanghai, GCL collaborates with creative teams around the world to enhance the branding of the entire FR Group, including UNIQLO.
The team consists of Creative Directors, Editors, Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Project Managers, and Assistants. We form project teams of several members per assignment and carry out our work in collaboration with various departments.
■ Job Description
Since our organizational mission is to “enhance FR’s branding,” we handle all types of creative work, ranging from small-scale projects like shopper design to large-scale initiatives such as seasonal campaigns.
Specifically, our work includes the following, though we are open to other initiatives as long as they contribute to enhancing brand value:
・Various marketing and communication initiatives related to LifeWear.
・Editing of LifeWear magazine.
・Planning and operation of LifeWear events held in various countries.
・Concept design and implementation of initiatives for new flagship stores.
・Collaborating with the R&D department to develop clothing concepts each season, and directing marketing, store layout, and PR based on those concepts.
You will be responsible for editing, producing, and writing copy for advertisements, promotional materials, and various other creative assets for these projects.
■ Career Path
Within the FR Group, there are multiple departments both in Japan and overseas—including GCL in Japan, as well as brands such as UNIQLO and GU—where you can apply your creative skills. While taking your aspirations and aptitudes into account, we implement a flexible rotation system to foster the development of your creative abilities beyond a single department.
As we proceed with the selection process, we will consider which creative department would be the best place for you to start your career within our group. Therefore, please understand in advance that, depending on the situation, we may propose positions in other brands or departments. (In such cases, we will notify you in advance.)

・At least 3 years of practical experience in editing and copywriting for various types of content at a business company (such as an apparel company or B2C manufacturer), advertising agency, or production company
・At least 3 years of editorial experience at a publishing company (primarily dealing with fashion magazines)
■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Business English proficiency (TOEIC score of 700 or higher is preferred)
*Even if your language proficiency does not currently meet the requirements, please feel free to apply if you are committed to improving your skills over the next few years.

Work Conditions
■Company Name: Fast Retailing Co., Ltd.
■Employment Type: We plan to hire you as a contract employee for the first year
Planned transition to full-time employee status starting the following fiscal year (indefinite term, with a 3-month probationary period)
■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 6.56 million yen – 16.20 million yen (Monthly Salary: 410,000 yen – 900,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluation)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above
