Job Description

■Recruitment Background
The Fast Retailing (hereinafter “FR”) Group is undergoing company-wide transformation to create a “new industry” based on the “LifeWear” concept, which transcends traditional industry boundaries. We are seeking a candidate to serve as the Diversity Promotion Lead at GHQ (Global Headquarters) who can drive the development of organizational structures and a culture that enable a more diverse workforce to fully utilize their abilities.

■Department Overview
As the FR Group’s Global Headquarters (GHQ), the Japan headquarters is tasked with strongly driving the global business growth of the FR Group and its various brands, which span 25 countries worldwide (as of October 2020).
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting diversity across the entire FR Group by collaborating with various departments within GHQ and with our international operations to implement projects in areas such as women’s advancement, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and accessibility for people with disabilities, as well as communicating these initiatives both internally and externally.

・Planning, executing, and promoting the FR Group’s diversity strategy
・Fostering an understanding of diversity throughout the company to cultivate a more culturally diverse environment
・Formulating policies and frameworks to promote diversity in each region and country, as well as identifying relevant initiatives and providing advice
・Conducting internal and external public relations activities

Qualifications

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Candidates who have been involved in transformation projects—such as those promoting diversity, sustainability, or human resources—at a business company or consulting firm
・Individuals who can share the same perspective as executives and tackle challenges as key drivers of change
・Individuals with excellent judgment who can respect each and every employee on the front lines while pursuing an ideal vision

■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Management or hands-on experience and knowledge related to diversity initiatives
・Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
・Practical experience in human resources or training
・A TOEIC score of 800 or higher, or the ability to communicate in English without difficulty in a business setting
・International experience, knowledge, and understanding of multicultural issues are a plus

Work Conditions

■Employment Type
Full-time Employee (Permanent position, with a 3-month probationary period)

■Annual Salary 
・Annual Salary Range: 7.04–18.00 million yen (Monthly Salary: 440,000–1,000,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

■ Working Hours
Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work schedule
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Flexible hours…6:00–9:00 and 14:00–20:00; overtime work may occur
・Supervisors
Based on the working hours of the employee’s department; left to the employee’s discretion

■ Days Off and Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are workdays) Annual paid leave, special leave and bereavement leave, childcare and family care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs)
