Editorial Policy

Sustainability Reports are published by Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. for stakeholders. They describe in a succinct manner the social and environmental responsibilities associated with the Fast Retailing Group's business, along with its corporate policies and efforts to fulfill those responsibilities.

Fast Retailing promotes additional dialogue with the stakeholders through the Sustainability Reports to meet expectations, generate awareness, and address concerns.

In fiscal 2015 Fast Retailing began reporting its CSR efforts-in the Sustainability Reports and on the Company website-in accordance to the core elements of the Global Reporting Initiative's G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines.

* The GRI Guidelines (G4) comparison chart is scheduled for publication in April 2018.

Report Coverage

This report primarily covers the sustainability-related activities of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., and its subsidiaries worldwide (the Fast Retailing Group), and also includes information about other relevant initiatives outside the Group.

Reporting Period

Unless otherwise stated, data disclosed in this report is based on Fast Retailing's fiscal year, from September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2017. Some particularly important content is based on the most recent information at the time of publication.
