Fast Retailing Relief for Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines

Approximate JPY 14.6 million donation of funds and clothing

Tokyo, Japan; November 13, 2013 -- Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. today announces its support for relief efforts in the Philippines for those impacted by Typhoon Haiyan. Through its local entity Fast Retailing Philippines, Inc., the company is providing PHP 1 million (approximately JPY 2.3 million) and T-shirts and innerwear worth PHP 1 million to the SM Foundation, the charitable branch of the SM Group. In addition, Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. will donate PHP 4.5 million (approximately JPY 10 million) towards relief through UNICEF, for a total contribution from the company of approximately PHP 6.5 million (approximately JPY 14.6 million).

Katsumi Kubota, Fast Retailing Philippines Inc. Chief Operating Officer, said, "We offer our deepest condolences for those affected by this terrible tragedy. We have been warmly received by the people of the Philippines, since UNIQLO's launch here in June 2012. Our entire organization extends its support, in overcoming this disaster."
