UNIQLO Thailand was established in May 2011 as a joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation, and three exciting new stores were opened in the latter half of 2011. The first store, the Central World Store, was opened in September 2011. The Central World Store is a large-format store with a sales floor of approximately 2,740 square meters (830 tsubo) located in one of Bangkok's largest and most prominent shopping centers. This was followed closely by the opening of the Central Plaza Lardprao Store in October, and the Central Plaza Rama9 Store in November, 2011.
