UNIQLO to Open Six New U.S. Stores in the Boston Area: Opening Dates Announced; Pop-Up Shop to Open This Summer in Faneuil Hall

UNIQLO, the global clothing retailer, announced today that it will continue its expansion in the U.S. by opening six new stores in the greater Boston metro area, four of which will open this summer and fall. These new stores will mark the brand's first stores in Massachusetts, and its entry into one of three new U.S. markets this year.

The new UNIQLO Boston metro locations and opening dates are:

• Natick Mall in Natick, MA (August 29)
• The Mall at Chestnut Hill in Newton, MA (August 29)
• Northshore Mall in Peabody, MA (September 19)
• Legacy Place in Dedham, MA (October 24)
• 341 Newbury Street in Back Bay Boston, MA (Spring 2015)
• Faneuil Hall in Boston, MA (Spring 2015)

Boston area fans will get a sneak peek of UNIQLO when a pop-up shop opens at Faneuil Hall Marketplace early this summer. A permanent store will open at the marketplace in spring 2015.

UNIQLO plans to open more stores in 2014, including the other new markets of Philadelphia and Los Angeles, in addition to the existing markets of San Francisco, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. Using #NewUniqlo, customers can interact and share their excitement about these new openings via the company's social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Currently, there are 20 open UNIQLO stores in the U.S., as well as UNIQLO.com, which offers nationwide online shopping. To staff these new stores, UNIQLO plans to hire and train several hundred full-time and part-time employees at all levels.
