June 26, 2007 Prime Ministerial Commendation for Contributions to the “Challenge Again”
UNIQLO has been awarded the Prime Ministerial Commendation for Contributions to the “Challenge Again.” This award aims to enhance the tendency of re-challenging in the entire society, and it is given to a person or an organization with distinguished services and outstanding achievements for supporting one’s re-challenge.
Our continuous effort to employ handicapped persons and its high employ rate are rated highly. Hereafter, with every employee’s efforts, we will incessantly provide the pleasant working environment for our diversifying employees.

June 15, 2006 Awarded as Excellent Firm of the Award of the Director-General of Tokyo Labor Bureau, at Commendation for Enterprises Promoting Equal Employment produced by the Minister of Health Labor, and Welfare
UNIQLO has received this award, which is is presented to enterprises that encourage positive actions in giving full scope of women’s abilities in day-to-day work.
We proudly accepted this award as a valuable compliment for such our positive activities as holding trainings and forums regarding to women’s active participation in business scene and promoting of female managers at stores, and opening lecture meetings to increase female employment.
Disaster Relief
June 25, 2007 Decorated with the Medal with Purple Ribbon
FAST RETAILING was decorated with the Medal with Purple Ribbon for its monetary contribution in order to give relief to the victims of and rebuild the disaster stricken area of Java Earthquake occurred in May 2006.
We sincerely hope that the area would regain its strength as soon as possible and, hereafter we will devote our effort in socially meaningful activities more than ever.
* The Medal with Purple Ribbon is the decoration awarded to a person or an organization that donates privately owned property, monetary assets, and all other possessions for the public good.
November 11, 2006 The Partnership Award for Emergency
UNIQLO cooperated with JEN, an NGO, by making emergency donations of warm winter clothing to enable earthquake victims in northern Pakistan in 2005 to survive the harsh winter condition in this region.
This rapid support tailored to the needs of victims in the affected region earned UNIQLO the Partnership Prize organized by the Partnership Support Center as a model example of partnership between an NPO/NGO and a company.
